Before, the sign looked like this…
I got to use some of my paint samples I bought a few weeks ago too. Love this yellow!
The only thing I wish I would have done differently was SAND it first! Those little dots at the points/intersections of each letter were raised significantly. Rookie mistake, I know
Didn’t have a pic of the stencil but I made it on my SCAL software and then cut it out on the Cricut. After the first cut, I did remake two words that the font was just too teeny tiny and transferred poorly but it was no biggie. AND, I’m ashamed to admit this, but I also redid the word “skies” because…wait for it…I spelled it “skys.” Yes, I am an English major. Yes, my husband noticed it. And yes, I could not just leave it there like he said to. Oh, and skip buying the primer gray spray paint at the Dollar General. I think it must have been more of a latex paint and I had to be very careful pulling the letters off. Never had a problem with some of the paint I’ve bought there before (I have mad love for the DG) but this didn’t work as well.
Ta-daaah! There are definitely some imperfections but I do love it. It’s my first detailed sign so I think it will do. Can’t wait to put it up in Kenna’s room.
Until next time, guys =)
